The small, nostalgic Djurslands Jernbanemuseum – Djursland’s Railway Museum resides in the listed, old roundhouse and exhibits trains and wagons dating back to the time, when railway had an enormous impact on society’s development. The museum takes its point of departure in Djursland’s railways, where the town of Ryomgaard has been a nerve centre for the four local services.
Go on a beautiful, five-kilometre veteran-train ride on a closed-down stretch of railway between Horsens and Silkeborg. The scenic train ride is as pretty as they come, and the train is known as ‘The Most Beautiful Railway in the World’, and rightly so. The ride is an exciting experience for children and adults alike, and the train stops at Vrads Station for beverages and other fresh supplies.
